Our Returns Policy
At Top Mops, we want you to be completely satisfied with every purchase. We understand that sometimes things don’t work out, so we offer returns for most items within 30 days of receiving your order.
Most items sold on topmops.co.uk follow our standard return policy, though certain products may have specific conditions. Please read below for the full details.
Your Right to Cancel
By law, you have the right to cancel your order within 30 days of receiving your item(s), without needing to provide a reason. Your statutory rights also apply if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.
If you simply change your mind, you may need to cover the cost of return postage. If you’re returning a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, we’ll cover all postage costs once your return is confirmed and processed.
How to Cancel or Return an Order

Once your return is scheduled, you’ll have 14 days to send the item back to us.
Top Mops Voluntary Returns Policy
In addition to your legal cancellation rights, we also offer a voluntary 30-day return window. Items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging.
Please note: This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
Who Covers Return Costs?

If returning due to a change of mind, we can:
- Provide a Royal Mail label (£3.50) or
- Arrange a UPS collection (£6 per box)
These costs will be deducted from your refund if you choose these options.
Please note: Due to hygiene reasons, certain products are non-returnable once opened.
Returning Your Item In-Store
You can return eligible items in person to our store:

Bring proof of purchase (email confirmation, order number, or receipt).
Returning by Post
Contact Us to request your return number.
- Box your item securely.
- Use your own recorded delivery service or request a Royal Mail or UPS label from us.

You can download a QR code to print your label at your local Customer Service Point.
For larger items, we’ll arrange a UPS collection on a date that suits you.
Refunds
- In-store returns: Refunds are processed immediately. Funds may appear within a few business days, depending on your card provider.
- Postal returns or collections: We process refunds within 48 hours of receiving the returned item.
Special Note on Numatic Parts
If returning Numatic components, please check with Numatic Technical Support at 01460 269268 before placing your order. A 15% restocking fee applies to incorrectly ordered parts and will be deducted from your refund (if not our error).
Consumer Contracts Regulations
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation & Additional Charges) Regulations, you are entitled to cancel online purchases within 30 days of receiving your goods. This does not apply to:
- Made-to-order or personalised goods
- Perishable items
- Sealed goods unsealed after delivery (e.g., hygiene-sensitive products)
- Goods mixed inseparably with other items after delivery
- Services that have already begun with your agreement
